Terms of Sale and Shipping Policy

Please print and read these Terms of Sale and Shipping Policy as it contains important information about my service. Use of this site constitutes your acceptance of the Terms of Service. As the Internet and my site develops over time, these Terms of Service might change. I do encourage you to return again to see if there have been any changes to my privacy policy and/or Terms of Sale and Shipping Policy.

How To Buy My Artwork:

1. Upon receipt of an email with your order and/or commission, I will contact you to confirm it by phone or email. Based upon the data submitted by you, I prepare information on cost of the order/commission, date to be shipped by and other terms of delivery.
2. I send you an email containing information on mode of payment and necessary details.
3. When the work is finished, I will email you with a sample of the finished artwork. Upon receipt of the specified amount of money, I send or deliver you the purchased artwork. The purchased artwork will be sent to any address specified by you.

Shipping Policy:

All orders are packaged to ensure safe arrival intact. Larger works of art or original works of art need special crating that must be custom made for each artwork. This adds to the shipping cost but is absolutely necessary to ensure safe arrival of work.
Where possible, I try to indicate approximate shipping charges. Sometimes I may be able to find less expensive rates and sometimes the rates may be more depending on the rates carriers charge which change sometimes without notice. If there is a large difference in the shipping charges from those listed on the site, I will get in touch with you to discuss the options, or make sure you wish to proceed with the order.
Although extremely rare, items damaged in transit will be refunded, upon being shipped back to me. Please be sure to inspect packaging for damages or moisture before accepting!

Returns:

If there is a material misrepresentation or error on original artwork sales, please contact me by email at info@artworksbyshannon.com within 3 days of receipt of the order. I will then instruct you on return shipping instructions. If the error is from me, I will either correct the order at no charge to the Customer or if I cannot fulfill the order for any reason, I will promptly issue a full refund including shipping charges if applicable upon receipt of the original order in its original condition.

All other returns after the 3 day notification period will be issued a credit towards another purchase upon return of the merchandise in its original condition.

Sales Policy:

I accept PayPal, Certified Check or Money Order. I do not accept personal checks.
Framed artwork/commissions requires a non refundable 50% deposit, due to framing costs. If it arrives damaged, the Buyer will be fully compensated by myself or issuance of an identical replacement will be possible, upon receipt of original frame.
I fully stand behind all of my products sold on this site. All original artworks are warranted against material misrepresentation. Should an artwork arrive and be materially different than listed on the site, I will gladly issue a credit or refund upon return of the artwork in its original condition. Please be sure to ask before ordering whether the image is representitive of the artwork, as some of the images on the site do not reflect the true colours of the original 100%, due to scanning and/or photography variances.

***Material misrepresenation definitions that would lead to a full refund on a purchase of an artwork:

- Artwork Size wrong by 10% or more.
- Wrong image altogether.

Copyright Policy:

If you want to use any of the images or documents you find at my site (artworksbyshannon) for publications, advertisements or software, you’ll have to obtain permission and adhere to the stipulations of the permission (such as full web address credit or royalties to the artist). You must get specific permission for
use of anything on my site for (but not limited to) magazines, newsletters, clip-art software, screen-printed clothing..etc. It’s possible, as with any form of mass-media, that someone could unscrupulously use these images for financial gain.

Privacy Policy:

I will only collect information needed from you to facilitate your purchase. I will not disclose your personal information including email address to other parties for any reason. I will only store your personal information if you wish me to, for purposes such as contacting you with any new works you may be interested in.
